13 Week Fall Gardening Cohort

Hi Gardening and Wellness Friends 👋🏼

The size or type of garden doesn’t matter to participate in the cohort. A garden that’s grown for beauty

I am so excited to be offering this cohort to those gardening in Florida. I firmly believe each of us should be empowered to grow most or at least some of our own food.

An above ground bed that feeds two

Florida possesses some challenges when gardening. The main challenge being when to plant what. When I first began gardening, I did what I saw in big box garden centers. They market to the northern growers. By the time they were offering plants for winter, Florida was far into the spring growing season.

An in-ground garden

I remember trying to grow broccoli my first or second garden season. I purchased the plants from a local box store. I planted in the spring, March, but the plant never grew the broccoli head. I was disappointed but it didn’t discourage me. What I hadn’t yet learned is in Florida we plant broccoli from Fall until early Winter. By the end of February, the winter growing season is done. It then gets too hot, and the broccoli will not set proper heads. Instead, because the temperature is warm, the plant bolts and attempts to grow seeds to proliferate rather than heads.

Or an above ground garden that feeds 5+ can all participate in the cohort

In offering this fall cohort, my goal is to save time. Regardless of the size of the garden, I’ll give tasks to complete. This will take the guess work out. I’ll record the meetings so they can be referenced back to learn information that may have been missed. This is a step by step, weekly program focused on the garden thriving. I’ll be available during the weeks to support any hiccups experienced along the way and to do any redirecting if challenges arise.

I’m thrilled to witness the growth that will happen this fall. Message on social media Facebook Instagram or email any questions you have about the cohort. Click here to register

Until next time…..

🌿To our health and the health of our gardens🌿
